URBOND Hosts 4th Annual Women’s Conference

URBOND is proud to announce the success of its 4th Annual Women’s Conference event held on Saturday 8th March, which brought together women from across the city for a day of empowerment, inspiration, and celebration. The event provided a platform for sharing challenges, celebrating achievements, and encouraging meaningful experiences.

The conference featured an impressive lineup of guest speakers, including Anne Stevens, Olufolake Ayeyemi, Lara Kynvin, and Dr. Alisha Damani, who shared their personal stories leaving attendees feeling inspired and motivated. Their contributions sparked thoughtful conversations and highlighted the strength and resilience of women in the community.

A special highlight of the event was a heartfelt mother-and-daughter duet performed by Barabara and Jenelle, two of URBOND’s beneficiaries.

URBOND’s youth ambassadors also played a pivotal role, leading a dynamic live panel discussion that addressed key issues facing women today. Their insightful contributions demonstrated the impact of empowering young voices in the community.

“We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Women’s Conference,” said Ruby Plato, URBOND Women’s Group Lead. “It was incredible to witness such powerful stories being shared and to see the community come together to support and uplift one another. We are already looking forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better!”

URBOND extends its gratitude to all speakers, performers, volunteers, and attendees who made this event possible.

The charity remains committed to empowering women and fostering a supportive and inclusive community.
