Community Health and Fitness

URBOND’s sports programme offers open sessions for basketball, football, and volleyball. All are welcome regardless of age, background or skill level.

During these events, we invite members of the local authority, different faith groups, students, and residents. These initiatives aim to build strong and lasting relationships across the community.

Community Basketball

We organise two basketball events per year, the age of attendees can range between 16 to 50, being a mix of both men and women. Through URBOND basketball events, we have been able to mix people all walks of life, bringing together people in uniform and the minority groups (being of course both men and women) joining in and building relationships with each other. Open sessions for members of our community to come together to play football and keep mentally and physically healthy and build relationships. Weekly sessions are on Wednesdays, 8pm – 9:30pm at Charles Dickens Activity Centre. To book your place, please email info@urbond.org. Football tournaments are organised in August yearly. To book a place, a team or interested in volunteering or sponsoring, please email info@urbond.org.

Community Volleyball

URBOND community volleyball sessions offer opportunities to enjoy playing volleyball. Whether you just want to give volleyball a try, train regularly, or play in one of our teams, we’ve got you covered. Join us on Sundays 12 – 2pm at Charles Dickens Activity Centre. For more information, email volleyball@urbond.org. We have men and ladies teams in the National Volleyball League (NVL) and junior teams (Boys and Girls).

Community Yoga Session

Come and join us at our Community Yoga Sessions! URBOND has partnered with Andrea at One Soul Yoga to deliver sessions for the local community. Classes are gentle and focus on flexibility, confidence, and strength of mind, body, and soul.
